An applet is triggered by changes that occur within other web services such as Gmail, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, or Pinterest.

For example, an applet may send an e-mail message if the user tweets using a hashtag, or copy a photo on Facebook to a user’s archive if someone tags a user in a photo. Its we are just defining certain things to do when certain condition matches.

I am personally using few applets like getting weather report for next day every night. Other app which i am using reminds me to drink cup of water every hour. This app also helps me automatically forward mail to certain email address when i receive emails from certain email addresses so I don’t have to forward mails manually.
